No Dancing Around

Aidyn saw this warning sign on the rides at Disneyland and instructed me that "This means NO dancing around!"

That Toast Was Amazing

Today I gave Aidyn her first ever cinnamon and sugar toast. After she ate every last bite she announced with great emphasis, "That toast was AMAZING!!"

Smaulding Together

Aidyn accidentally ground her teeth together last week and announced, "My teeth were smaulding together!"

Did You Buy This?

As we were leaving Disneyland I wanted to get Aidyn a little souvenir. I chose a Minnie Mouse doll and gave it to her as we were getting on the tram to return to the parking garage. A few minutes later Aidyn suddenly turned to me in concern and asked, "Did you buy this!!??" I'm not sure if she thought I had stolen it or something, but it got some strange looks and questions from my family wondering if I had a problem they didn't know about.

You Have to Watch Your Children

At Disneyland Aidyn heard an announcement near one of the rides to "watch your children." She turned to me and instructed, "You have to watch your children. Like me. You have to watch me. Don't forget to watch me, ok?"

Sassy

Oh the sassiness. Anyone have good cures for that? Because it's running rampant at my house right now and Aidyn is the biggest culprit. She is very smart and has a sharp, quick tongue...not a very good combination for the sassies! We are working hard to curb her nasty little sayings and this past week in LA I reprimanded her for something and she decided, "Well then I will just go to my room and be nasty." How to tell her that I want her to be sweet EVERYWHERE!?

Sminch

Sminch is a new word of Aidyn's that describes everything from a little tickling pinch to a small amount of something. It's actually a fun word that we're using a lot lately!

Drawing Gas

My mom and Aidyn were playing a game where they would draw on each other's back and then try to guess what was being drawn. At one point Aidyn was drawing and my mom was guessing. "A car?" she guessed, and Aidyn said, "Nope, but it does have gas." Finally after many other incorrect guesses Aidyn declared that she was indeed drawing gas. Come on, mom...how could you not figure that out?!

Rub Your Feet

While we were visiting LA last week we went on a long walk to Hollywood from my sister's apartment. We stopped at a little Philly Cheesesteak place for lunch and I complained that my feet were hurting from walking so far. Aidyn offered, "Maybe when I'm done with my soda I will rub your feet." I declined, touched by her sweet offer, and she answered, "Ok. Maybe when we get home then."

Daddy's Hair

Auntie was teasing Aidyn while she was coloring a picture. "Daddy's hair is purple," Auntie teased. "No," Aidyn emphatically replied. "Daddy doesn't have hair!"
