One of the few memories I have from when I was a little girl is the time I asked my mom why the singular of "clothes" isn't "clo." It made total sense to my nine or ten-year-old mind and is the reason I laughed hysterically when Aidyn said this at TJ Maxx this past week:
Me: "Aidyn, come on. It's time to check out."
Aidyn [hiding in the clothes rack]: "I can't Mommy, I am a clo."
