Hailie has moved to her new family. We were very blessed to have her with us for these past few months and Aidyn was so proud to be a big sister. We softened the grief just a little bit by giving goodbye presents to the girls including matching stuffed bunnies. Aidyn named hers "Hailie Bunny" and now carries her pretty much everywhere. We had been preparing Aidyn for the time Hailie would leave right from the very beginning, so Aidyn was pretty ready for the day when Hailie would go live with her Forever Family.
The week Hailie left we spent a little extra time preparing Aidyn. One of the days Donnie asked her, "Are you going to miss Hailie when she goes to live with her Forever Family?"
Aidyn replied, "Yeah, but we'll get another baby."
Donnie told her that it might be a while before that would happen and asked her if she'd be okay with that. Aidyn's adorable response: "Well....things happen."
