Butterfly Wings

On Wednesday Aidyn decided she wanted to wear her butterfly wings to visit her prospective new preschool. I didn't really mind, I guess, but I was curious to know why she wanted to wear them. I asked her and she replied, "So that everyone will see me and think I look beautiful."
How could you refuse that?? So, I let her wear them.
On the walk from the van around the school to get a good look we passed a lady who smiled at my little butterfly and said, "Ohhhhh. Don't you look pretty?!"
Aidyn just looked up at me and said, "See Mom! I told you!"

Flashback

A few months ago I painted Aidyn's nails. She came into my room in the evening that day as I was lying down to nap before work to "tuck me in" and I asked her to turn off the light. She huffed indignantly and put her tiny hands on her hips and said, "But then I won't be able to see my pretty nails!"

Z-O-O

Aidyn is learning about spelling. She's known for quite a while how to spell her name, but this past week she learned how to spell zoo. It's very cute as she recites, "z-o-o" so proudly!

Who's Bill?

This morning as I was paying a few bills Aidyn asked what I was doing. I told her I was paying bills and she asked, "Who's Bill?" I tried explaining that bills are the money we pay for electricity and phone and stuff, but she just kept repeating, "But who is Bill?"
